Twitter adds option to 'mute' people

Twitter is introducing a way to silence noisy people you follow but aren't quite ready to unfollow. They call this new option 'mute' it lets you hide the tweets and activity of a selected accounts from your timeline. Muting someone won’t stop the person from being able to interact with your tweets  it wont stop them from favoriting, replying or retweeting your tweets.

New cassette tape could hold 47 million songs

Forget the cloud, and rework your mental image of those mysterious data centers. Sony has reinvented a tool for storing a mind-numbing amount of data: The cassette tape But this isn't one of those rattling plastic tapes you used to compile your ultimate summer road-trip jams and, too often, were probably forced to rewind with a pencil. Sony's record-breaking magnetic tape technology allows it to store 180 terabytes of data on a single cartridge. That's the same amount of storage as 1,184 iPod Classics, Apple's roomiest music player, which can hold about 40,000 songs. Using that number, Sony's new cassette could technically store about 47.3 million songs of its own.

This stack of cassette tapes is at the Library of Congress campus for Audio Visual Conservation in Culpeper, Virginia.

Web 2.0 tool

The Plagiarism checker is a very useful tool to use for any research papers I ever have to do in the future. This tool will come in most handy for Ms. Hunter's English class. This tool will help me in the future to get higher grades on my research papers and it is also a good  way to double check that I have not plagiarized anything by accident. This will help me to learn not to plagiarize for anything in the future.
