Google Glass getting a stylish makeover

google glass ray bans

Google announced late Monday that it is joining forces with eyewear giant Luxottica to design, develop and distribute a new generation of Glass. Glass, Google's experimental gadget that places a notification screen above your eye, initially launched in 2013 as an exciting futuristic product. Since then, it has become an overhyped niche gadget with a public relations problem. By appearing more stylish, Google is hoping Glass may gain broader market appeal before it releases the product to the broader public toward the end of 2014. Luxottica and Google will establish a team of experts devoted to working on new Glass products "that straddle the line between high-fashion, lifestyle and innovative technology," the eyewear company says. The frames firm -- the largest eyewear company in the world -- manufactures glasses for Oakley, Persol, Prada, Ray-Ban and Versace. It also owns retailers including LensCrafters, Sunglasses Hut and Pearle Vision, giving Google the ability to showcase its new designs in brick-and-mortar stores.

Invisibility

If I was invisible for a day I would try to help all starving, cold, homeless people find a home. They are still people and deserve to have a second chance just like anyone else. Homeless people should be able to get a simple job such as maybe taking out the garbage or picking up little things and work their way up to something better. They should have the opportunity to get on their own two feet.
If I could not do that then i would help cure a terrible sickness. For example cancer i would help to cure all the kids and adults that suffer from any kind of cancer. But not only any kind of cure but a cure that is 100% positive to work.

Starting in April, flying may be just a little bit more bearable. United Airlines recently announced passengers will be able to watch hundreds of television shows and movies for free on their laptops and Apple devices. To watch the free entertainment, which includes around 200 shows and 150 films, passengers will have to download the United Airlines application or install a browser plug-in, based on the device they're using. From there, customers can watch any of the content
available without needing to pay for WiFi. The
aircraft company expects most of their domestic
planes to have the service by the end of this year.

Netflix's book marks your spot when you drift off to sleep

netflix

We’ve all been there: You’re getting drowsy and you’ve got school or work early the next morning, but you’re four hours deep into a Dexter  binge-watching session and there’s no way you’re dragging yourself to bed until you wrap just one more episode. But eventually, biology wins and you end up passing out on the couch during the ninth episode. The hack is a collaboration with Fitbit, a maker of fitness tracking bands, according to a post on Netflix’s blog.Presumably, the device is connected wirelessly via Bluetooth to whatever you’re using to watch Netflix. When you fall asleep, the Fitbit informs Netflix, which then pauses whatever show or movie you’re watching, simultaneously setting a sleep bookmark so you’ll be able to pick up where you left off the next day.
